DEI Supports Capitalism: Inclusion As A Driver Of Profitability And Innovation
REVELATION:
When you think about Inclusion within your organization, start with data and lead with passion. What does that mean?
The Forbes article mentioned auditing four risk categories of your organization: Governance, Human resources, Product delivery, and Supplier diversity. Are there any areas with inclusion gaps?
Now, leading with passion comes with tapping into your leader’s moral compass. Most people don’t intentionally exclude, so remember, DEI is the morally right thing to do. Organizational and social parity could be you and your boss’s leadership legacy.
REFLECTION QUESTIONS:
Since we’re talking about capitalism,
What various identities do I hold and how do those identities show up at work and in my personal life?
If I could one of those identities for better societal positioning, which one would I sell?
