Don’t Try to Fix It, Feel It
What Real Support Looks Like
Hey Ya’ll,
Can I be frank? There are a lot of people hurting. Between the government shutdown and general massive job loss with a job market that doesn’t seem to respect time or tenure, people are pissed off and feeling a bit hopeless. If you are one of those people I am sending healing energy and a whole bunch of light. And if you know someone in this space, this resource offers practical ways to show up without overstepping.
RESOURCE:
8 Ways to Be There for Someone Who Lost Their Job
REVELATION:
Supporting someone through job loss isn’t about perfect words, it’s about presence. The Wondermind article reminded me that most people don’t need us to fix their situation; they need us to witness it. Ask before assuming. Validate before advising. And remember, your energy matters too; caring doesn’t mean carrying. Real support is about walking with someone, not dragging them out of the storm.
REFLECTION:
When someone close to you was struggling, did you ask what they needed, or decide for them?
How can you balance compassion for others with boundaries that protect your own peace?
